Nestled along the banks of Cherry Creek, just four miles from downtown Denver, sits Four Mile Historic Park. The centerpiece of the Park is the Four Mile House, Denver’s oldest standing structure, built in 1859. Now a museum, it once served as a stage stop, tavern and wayside inn along the Cherokee Trail. Travelers stopped at the Four Mile House on their way to Denver City during the height of Colorado’s gold rush. It later grew into a 600 plus acre farm.
The 12-acre historic park provides both indoor and outdoor event space. The Grove, a secluded, grassy area surrounded by towering trees with the Four Mile House as the picturesque backdrop for this peaceful enclosure and The Meadow, an expansive, natural area ideal for 600 plus guests make up the outdoor spaces. Grant Hall, located in the Grant Family Education Center, offers 2,210 sq. ft. of indoor banquet space for up to 175 guests with a panoramic view of the Park.
Tables, chairs and use of the kitchen for your caterer are included in the site fee. Other available spaces are The Bee House, a one-room school house, Conference Room and Meeting Room.
The experienced staff will assist you with any important decisions while planning your event, and have an excellent list of qualified professionals to take care of your every need.
This rural setting, in the heart of the city, is perfect for your wedding, picnic, or special celebration. Your guests will step back in history to create the memory of a lifetime!
